What's involved in hosting?

Bear in mind is that homestay accommodation is not the same as bed and breakfast. Students want to experience life in a real British home and interact as much as possible. At the same time, they should not expect to treat your home like a hotel and we ensure that they understand this.

We make sure our students have a full schedule of lessons and activities so that you experience as little disruption as possible in your daily life. Moreover, we provide a high level of support and guidance to our host-families in accordance to British Council guidelines.

What are you expected to provide?

Comfortable accommodation
Continental breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal
Arrival and departure transfers to the airport / harbour (weekends)
A warm welcome!

Why host with St Brelade's College?

We are accredited by the British Council therefore we have clear guidelines and provide 24 hour support throughout the year to our host-families
We minimise the impact on your household by providing a full daily schedule of lessons and activities as well as many evening and weekend options
There is a possibility of hosting students year round if desired.
