Combine general English classes with focused business English lessons

The Business Intensive programme is aimed at anyone who uses English regularly in the workplace. It is a cost-effective way to combine a standard English course, with some focused work in the skills and language required to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues from different nationalities.

Business English course key facts

• Lessons per week: 20 general English lessons (45 minutes per lesson), 10 business English lessons
• Maximum class size: 9 students for general English, 6 students for business English
• Course duration: 1-8 weeks
• Courses start: every Monday, all year round
• Minimum level of English: Intermediate
• Minimum age: 21 years
• Afternoon & evening social programme included
  
  

Topics covered in the business lessons include ecommerce, business travel & meetings, interviews, presentations & negotiations, cross-cultural awareness, global English, international trade & making small talk. Other functions include meeting & greeting, describing graphs & charts, opinions, polite requests, taking notes & writing CVs, emails, business letters & memos.

Please note: Where class size falls below two persons, students will be offered a choice of either a different course or 4 hours private tuition in place of the business module. We will inform you the week prior to the course if we do not have the minimum student numbers to run the course.

Accommodation Experience local life with homestay in Jersey or enjoy the convenience of the student or private accommodation.
