50+ English Programme

A two week general English programme designed to appeal to mature adult students who want to learn English and discover Jersey in the company of other similarly aged people.

English Lessons (Monday to Friday):

09h00 - 10h30 1st lesson
11h00 - 12h30 2nd Lesson

Activity and Social Programme:

	Week 1
	Sunday 10h00 to 16h00 Island Bus Tour (50+ Group Only Monday 13h30 - 16h30 Mont Orgueil Castle or North Coast Walk Tuesday Afternoon 20h00 Free Afternoon Welcoming drinks at The Post Horn Pub (St Helier) Wednesday 13h30 - 16h30 Samares Manor (50+ Group Only) Thursday Afternoon Free Afternoon Friday 14h30 - 16h30 19h00 Corbiere Walk and Cream Tea or visit to Jersey Museum Pub Dinner at the Smugglers Inn (approx £10 - £15) Saturday All Day Day trip to St Malo and Dinard (approx £50 including lunch)

	Week 2
	Monday 13h30 – 16h30 The Jersey Zoo or Walk & Tour of South-West Bays Tuesday Afternoon 20h00 Free Afternoon Drinks at The Post Horn Pub (St Helier) Wednesday 13h30 – 16h30 Country Walk and visit to the Orchid Farm (50+ Group Only) Thursday Afternoon Free Afternoon Friday 14h30 – 16h30 19h00 St Ouen’s walk – The Sand Dunes to La Pulente Pub Dinner at the Victoria in the Valley (approx £10 - £15)

Course Facts:

• Minimum age: 50
• Minimum English level: elementary
• Average age of class always 50 or older
• Class size maximum 9 students
• Some social programme activities are shared with other adult students (see programme)
• Homestay accommodation is limited and clients should be aware that they could be located anywhere in Jersey. For this reason we recommend guest house or residence accommodation; both of which can be booked with the course.
